Tal como prometido, Leonard Cohen terá um novo álbum de originais já em final de Janeiro próximo. O disco "Old Ideas" é o regresso a material inédito ao fim de oito anos e pode, desde já, começar a ser descoberto através do tema "Show Me The Place" entretanto disponibilizado. Na cerimónia de entrega do prémio Príncipe das Asturias realizado em Outubro passado, Cohen sentenciou:
“As I grew older, I understood that instructions came with this voice. And the instructions were these… Never to lament casually. And if one is to express the great inevitable defeat that awaits us all, it must be done wtihin the strict confines of dignity and beauty.”
